Obituary of Gladys Watson

Gladys Lilian Watson of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Bow View Manor, Calgary, AB, at the age of 91. Gladys was born in Birmingham, England to the late Albert and Lilian (Nan) Smith. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford J. Watson, who predeceased her on December 1, 2004. Gladys will be dearly missed by her loving son Kenneth (Elizabeth) of Crossfield, AB; granddaughters, Laurice Kuresh (Ken) of Calgary, AB, Sonja Harvey (John) of Belleville, ON; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Madison, Morgan, Kennedy and Quinn. Gladys and Clifford married at Toronto, ON, in 1936. They came west to Banff in 1960. For the next ten years she was a valued partner to Clifford in greeting and hosting many dignitaries and celebrities at Chateau Lake Louise and Banff Springs Hotel. Gladys will be remembered for her kindness, caring and loving humour. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
