Obituary of Roslyn Melanie McCowan
Roslyn Melanie McCowan, beloved wife of Bruno Masquillier of Calgary and mother of Raphaelle and Victoria, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the age of 44 years.
Roslyn was born on August 2, 1960 in Calgary, AB. Besides her loving husband Bruno, Roslyn is also survived by her children, Raphaelle and Victoria; her father and mother Conrad McCowan and Frances Gainer, both of Calgary; her brother Michael McCowan of Canmore, AB; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Roslyn led a remarkable life, knowing true love, travel, adventure, a supportive extended family, a collection of wonderful friends, meaningful work, and unending joy in her beautiful daughters.
Roslyn was always in search of beauty and put her love and energy into sharing her artistic gifts. She first realized this quest as a pianist and singer in Calgary, and during her years in Paris. Upon her return to Calgary, she brought more beauty into our lives by importing fine Parisian fashion through her Tsar Shop.
Music took Roslyn to Austria where she studied on a Mozart Music Scholarship and then to Paris where she became a Professor of Music at the Schola Cantorum.
In lieu of flowers, please take someone you love to lunch, and raise a toast to our beloved Roslyn and everything she loved.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Roslyn McCowan Scholarship Fund. Further information will be given at the Funeral Service.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
