Obituary of Dianne Nickerson
Dianne Nickerson (nee Scott) of Calgary passed away quietly on Monday, April 18, 2005, ending her long and determined struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband James, sons Curtis (fiancÚe Brandie) and Robbie, both of Vancouver, BC., father Wally Scott of Stettler; and brothers, Howard Scott (Anita) of Hinton and Darald Scott (Darlene) of Vernon, BC. Also left to mourn are her father-in-law Chester Nickerson, mother-in-law Nora Nickerson; brother-in-law Robert Nickerson; aunt Leona Lovett; several nieces and nephews; and her many cherished friends in Calgary, Nanton and Lacombe. Dianne was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Scott, and her sister-in-law Lorraine Nickerson.

Dianne was born in Regina, SK, spent her first years in Milestone, SK and moved to Alberta when she was ten years of age. The family settled in Lacombe, AB where Dianne lived until she graduated from Lacombe High School in 1964. She met her husband James while working in Red Deer. They were married in 1968 in Lacombe, and eventually settled in Calgary in 1971. Dianne’s greatest joy was her family and raising her sons despite the limitations of her illness.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wish to thank the Home Care nurses who provided such caring support during her illness, the staff of Rockyview General Hospital, Unit #47, Dr Evans and the staff of Foothills Medical Centre Palliative Care, Unit #46 for their kindness in her final days. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. G. Coppola for his many years of kindness and assistance to the entire family.
