Obituary of Violet Myrtle Cuming
Violet Myrtle Cuming passed away gracefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the age of 82 years.
Vi will be lovingly missed by her husband of sixty years Tom; her sons, David and Lawrence; daughter-in-law Mary Lou; grandson Jamie and his wife Tracey and great-granddaughter Brooke; grandson Jeff; granddaughter Jennifer Klassen and her husband Bill and great-granddaughter Haley; as well as grandsons, Taylor, Parker and Jonah Cuming. She is also survived by her brothers, Howard Ross and Leslie Ross; and sisters-in-law, Sonia Ross and Molly Ross. Vi was predeceased by her brother Emmet and she leaves a large extended family who will miss her dearly.
Vi was a pillar in the community of Crossfield, AB. In the “early days” she proudly taught Sunday School for a number of years in the Crossfield United Church and also served as a member of the Rebecca’s, Royal Purple and Eastern Star. Vi loved music and enjoyed playing her organ every day. She loved life and touched the hearts of those who knew her. She had an enormous circle of friends in the Calgary area and will be carried in their hearts forever.
Funeral Services will be held at Crossfield Community Hall (Crossfield, AB) on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Family Graveside Service to follow at the Crossfield Cemetery. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre for their care and assistance over Vi’s final days.
