Obituary of Ernest William Emmott

Ernest (Ernie) William Emmott, beloved husband of Jan of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at the age of 63 years, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Ernie enjoyed spending winters in Phoenix, AZ, and was an avid softball player. He handcrafted his woodwork at Ernie’s Woodshed and sold them at the Bearspaw and Cochrane Farmer’s Markets. Ernie is survived by his son Derek and Patti of Calgary and daughter Michelle and Vinnie Blondeau of Regina SK; daughter-in-law Lorri Laface of Irricana, AB; mother, Margaret Emmott of Mannville, AB; as well as four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Kirsten, Zachary, and Zane. He is also survived by his sisters, Kay Scoggins of Mannville, AB, Val and Storm Andersen of Victoria, BC; nieces and nephews Kelly and Lori, Murray, Kim and Corey.
