Obituary of Efroim Golant

Efroim Golant, beloved husband of Anna of Calgary, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2005 at the age of 88 years. Efroim passed away on the morning of April 15 at the Rockyview General Hospital after an extended illness. He lived a full life surviving three wars and was an honoured Jewish War Veteran. He was very active within his community and a devout member of Chabad Lubavitch of Alberta. He was a very special man who touched so many lives. Efroim was the loving father of Asya Geskin and Frida Sokolovski both of Calgary. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren, Mark, Elliot, Olga, Angela, Alex, Natasha;and by his seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Auria, Ron, Dan, Jordan, Sophia and Iris. He is also survived by two sisters, Khaya in Germany and Maria in Israel and one brother Mark in the USA. Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel (1702 17 Avenue S.W.) on Sunday April 17 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Jewish Cemetery (30th Avenue & Erlton Street S.W.).If desired Memorial tributes can be made directly to Chabad Lubavitch.
