Obituary of Domenico Camilli
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the age of 78 years.
Domenico Camilli was born on January 30, 1927 in Calascio, L’Aquila, Italy and immigrated to Calgary in 1953 where he was employed with CP Rail until his retirement in 1983. Domenico had a deep love for his family, as well as a life-long passion for gardening and an extraordinary ability to work with his hands. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of fifty-one years, Gilda, his daughter, Adele and Lawrence Zanutig; his son, Roger Camilli; his cherished grandchildren, Jessie, Dean and Abbey; his sister Marianna; his niece Franca and Rick and their children Cristina and Alex; his nephew Paolo, as well as numerous good friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his parents, Secondino and Adele Camilli, and by his very best friend Rudy Pacione. Domenico’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Edward Louie and Betty for their on-going and thoughtful care.
