Obituary of Earle Alexander McGillivray

Earle McGillivray, beloved husband of fifty-one years to Millicent of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the age of 80 years. Earle was born in Brandon, MB in 1924. At the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the military to serve in WWII. He came ashore at Juno Beach. Earle would go on to serve in the RCAF for twenty-four years. He later served Canada by entering the Public Service. He worked for ten years with the Federal Government in the Communications sector. Earle was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #286. Earle will be remembered for his love of golf as well as his wonderful sense of humour. Besides his loving wife, Earle is also survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Christine and Malcolm and Penny; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
