Obituary of Stanley George Pearce

Stanley George (Stan) Pearce of Calgary passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the age of 93 years. Stan was born in Westward Ho, AB. He served in World War II in the Canadian Military in Suffield, AB, Italy and England, and returned to Canada where he re-enlisted in the Canadian Army and served until 1961. Stan then worked with the Land Titles Office until his retirement in 1976. It is here that he met his late wife Nan Hamilton who predeceased him in 1995. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Norreen Baker and Tom Hall, and Donna and Art Suderman, all of Calgary; his son and daughter-in-law Bob and Betty Pearce, of James River Bridge, AB; and their mother Ruby MacKay, of Sundre; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stan will also be fondly remembered by his special friend Margaret Connolly of St. Albert, AB. Stan was predeceased by his three brothers and parents. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Archdeacon Peter Millen of the Anglican Church of Canada, Presider.
