Obituary of Warren Mark Shantz

Warren Shantz, beloved husband of Sarah Shantz and loving father to Katie, Megan and Tom sadly passed away on Monday, March 21, 2005, after a difficult yet bravely fought battle with leukemia. Warren was born on January 22, 1965 in Brandon, MB. He spent his formative years in Brandon and completed his education at Brandon University, graduating in 1987. Warren then moved to Calgary, where he began his career. Warren’s first position was as a Stationary Clerk at Norcen Energy, but quickly rose to the position as Team Leader of Office Services. He continued to climb the corporate ladder holding Senior Management positions with Superior Propane, Unified Valve, and most recently and certainly most fondly Triple D Pipe Bending in Calgary, AB. Although his accomplishments in the business world were admirable, by far his greatest legacy was as a loving and devoted father to Katie, Megan, and Tom. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Warren is also survived by his mother Marlene Shantz of Brandon; his sister and brother-in-law Janid and Mike Roziere of Winnipeg; and their son Mathew. Warren was predeceased by his father Vernon Shantz in August 2002. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Stan Block of Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel officiating.
