Obituary of Geraldine Marion Corcoran

Geraldine (Gerrie) Marion Corcoran (nee Heidrick), beloved wife of Mr. John Corcoran of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the age of 53 years. Gerrie was born on June 10, 1951 in Medicine Hat, AB and attended Medicine Hat College before moving to Calgary in 1972. Gerrie loved to laugh and found much joy in all aspects of life. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed the mountains and spending time in Banff, AB as well as fulfilling her childhood dream of travelling to Ireland. Her true passion and legacy was being a phenomenal wife and mother. Gerrie’s favourite moments were watching her sons play hockey, spending time with her daughter and all family gatherings, especially Christmas. As a true nurturer, Gerrie loved animals, gardening and spending time outdoors. She was a bright light to all who knew and loved her. Besides her loving husband and soulmate, Gerrie is survived by three sons, a daughter and a daughter-in-law, Sean Corcoran (Brandy Douglas) of Airdrie, AB, Shane (Allison) Corcoran of Oakville, ON, Kerry Corcoran, and Ryan Corcoran, both of Calgary; and a granddaughter Reese Corcoran of Oakville, ON. She is also survived by her parents, Frances and Ralph Heidrick; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Wayne and Sandy Heidrick, Barry Heidrick and Dale Heidrick,; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Ron Durbeniuk, Karen and Don Heller and Audrey and Rick Flaig, all of Medicine Hat, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
