Obituary of Rita Cecile Gagnon Clement

Rita Cecile Gagnon Clement, beloved wife of Mr. Luke Clement of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the age of 81 years. Rita was born on June 21, 1923 in St. Michel de Squatec, Quebec. At the age of three she moved with her family to Manitoba and then at four moved to Saskatchewan. On November 5, 1945 she married Lucien (Luke) Clement and they farmed in Val Marie, SK until retiring to Calgary on August 1, 1973. Rita enjoyed travelling and especially loved to be with her family and friends. Besides her loving husband Luke, Rita is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Rolly of Calgary; two daughters and son-in-law, Julie and Peter Bromstad of Alpharetta, GA and Sonia Clement of Calgary; six granddaughters Tegan Quin, Sara Quin, Jennifer Clement, Chelsea Bromstad, Mackenzie Bromstad, and Talia Bromstad; a brother Robert Gagnon; and three sisters, Estelle Paradis, Suzanne Bouchard and Marguerite Eyjolfsson. Rita was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Eva, brother John Gagnon, and sister Theresa Creelman.
