Obituary of Florence May Evans

Florence May Evans, beloved wife of Homer of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the age of 95 years. Flo was born in Donesthorpe, England on July 4, 1909 and came to Saskatchewan with her family in 1912. She trained as a Nurse in Regina and moved to Calgary in the mid 1940’s. She married Homer in 1948 and retired from a long a nursing career in 1969. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Homer; her sister Ethel Pady of Regina; a sister-in-law Jeannie Evans of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews. Flo will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at Parkdale Evangelical Missionary Church (2608 – 1st Avenue N.W.) on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m..
