Obituary of George Anderson

George “Bruce” Anderson of Calgary passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2005, after a long and courageous battle from the effects of diabetes, at the age of 57 years. Bruce was born on October 27, 1947 in Barrhead, AB. He was a loving and caring brother and father, always placing his family first. He held great pride in his Aboriginal culture and was a creative, artistic person. Bruce is survived by his son Duane and grandson Andrew; and daughter Tammi and grandchildren, Zack and Emma. He is also survived by his brothers, Allan and Chuck; sisters, Marge, Anne, Phyllis, Joan, Ferne, and Lori; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Elise; and sister Gloria. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, March 11, 2005 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in “St. Joseph’s Section” at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
