Obituary of Franz Gerhart Julius Kipke

Franz Gerhart Julius Kipke, beloved husband of Helga Kipke, of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the age of 70 years. Franz was born on August 9, 1934 in Meonchengladbach, Germany. He immigrated to Toronto in 1957 and later came to Calgary. Franz married Helga on May 6, 1962. He worked as a carpenter at many places in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Franz enjoyed playing golf, and pool as well as hiking and staying fit. He loved to be with his family and in the company of friends. Besides his loving wife Helga, Franz is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Joanne Kipke, Herbert Kipke and Ronida Clarke; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Kipke and Tom Alex, all of Calgary; two grandchildren, Jessie and Carl Kipke. He is also survived by three sisters, Liesel Schroder, Leni Karlhart, and Wielma (Heinierich) Schroder; and two brothers, Julius (Kathy) Kipke and Hubert (Agnes) Kipke; as well as several nieces and nephews.
