Obituary of Laurie Marion Hawes

Laurie Marion Hawes of Calgary passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 51 years. Laurie was born in Kindersley, SK, on December 12, 1953. She attended school in Kindersley and moved to Saskatoon, SK with her family in 1970. After Laurie graduated from high school she went to Ontario and then settled in Calgary. Laurie entered the film industry as a production accountant and was well respected in the industry. Laurie is survived by her son Shane of Calgary; her parents, Nadia and Ormond Hawes of Saskatoon, SK; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Al Staples of Cochrane, Nancy and Stan Bernbaum of Calgary, Darlene and Brian Dickinson of Edmonton, Teresa LeClair of Regina, SK, and Bernie and Kevin Sylvestri of Saskatoon, SK; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harvey of Calgary, and Gregory and Charlotte of Dundurn, SK; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and relatives, as well as many friends. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, March, 4 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.
