Obituary of Cheryl Jenny Bull

Cheryl went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, in Vancouver, BC at the age of 49 years. Cheryl was blessed with a beautiful voice, enjoyed singing and listening to music, especially George Strait. Cheryl was a warm, loving mother, also a very humorous and easy-going person. She got along with all those she met, easily made friends, laughing, joking and always had a smile for everyone. Cheryl was born on Siksika Nation, attending Carsland School. She had a lot of faith in her church and later attended on the Lamanite Placement Program, living in Welling, AB. She attended the Native Education Center in Vancouver, BC and graduated as a Wellness Counsellor in 1994. Cheryl resided in New Westminster, BC for numerous years. Cheryl was the only daughter of Ernest Yellowfly and the late Celina Yellowfly. She was very close and dedicated to her brothers. Cheryl leaves behind her four cherished children, Shawn (Chasity), Chantelle (Reuben), Bryon, and Bryce Bull; nine adorable grandchildren, Julian, Brandon, Rolanda, Brett, Justin, Reuben Jr., Kelly, Dwayne and Roland; brothers, Barry (Joella), Alvin (Delia), Trent (Marion), Curtis, and Eddy (Karen); a sister-in-law, Michelle Yellowfly; numerous nieces, and nephews and relations from Siksika Nation and Blood Nation. She is also survived by her step-father, Bill Canning of BC; aunts, Cynthia Healy, Millie Little Light, Veronica Smith, Josephine Soop, Virginia (Allan) Medicine Traveller; uncles, Tom (Marie), Clifford (Melvina), Harold (Jean) and Stan Healy, Kenneth, Art, Percy, Noel Yellowfly and many friends in the Lower Mainland area. Cheryl was predeceased by her husband Dwayne Black Rabbit; her mother, Celina Yellowfly; brothers Dale and Ricky Yellowfly; nieces, Sherri Jane Maguire and Kimberlynn Many Guns; her grandparents Tom and Dorothy Healy, Teddy and Jane Yellowfly; uncle, Aloysious Healy; aunts, Lila, Marlene, Joyce Healy, Gail Wolfleg, Teresa, Marina, and Cecile Yellowfly; cousins, Brad La France and Amil Red Crow. The family apologizes for anyone we may have missed. The family would like to thank the Louis Bull Tribal Administration and the Siksika Nation Chief and Council, as well as the loving support from numerous family members. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Barry Yellowfly on Siksika Nation, on Monday, February 28, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Siksika Community Centre on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Cannon Stockton Cemetery.
