Obituary of Richard Duane Houger

Richard (Dick) Duane Houger beloved husband for forty-eight years of Marilyn of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the age of 75 years after a lengthy illness. Dick was born on March 17, 1929 in Lethbridge, AB and was raised in the Manyberries area of Southern Alberta. He moved to Rossland, BC where he met and married Marilyn. They moved to Calgary where Dick joined the Calgary Police Service, retiring after thirty-one years. Some of Dick’s passions were hunting, fishing and flying his own aircraft. Besides his loving wife, Dick is remembered by his daughter and a son-in-law Lori and Dan Limacher of Calgary, his son Mark Houger of Canmore, two cherished grandchildren Mark and Hannah Limacher of Calgary and his brother Roger Houger of Manyberries, AB. Funeral Services will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd (408 – 38th Street S.W.) on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Giovanni DiVincenzo officiating.
