Obituary of Angeles Luspo Gordillo

Angeles (Angie) Luspo Gordillo, beloved wife of Eddie Gordillo passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Tom Baker Cancer Center at the age of 69 after a nine month courageous battle with cancer. Angie was born on January 27, 1936 in Mambajao, Camiguin Province, Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 1973. They lived in Manitoba for six years, Ontario for two years and finally settling in Calgary in 1981. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Church Choir and Young Once Senior Association of Calgary. She enjoyed social events, ballroom dancing, shopping, gardening and cooking. Angie’s life was filled with love from her family. Her warmth, easy going nature and quick wit are evident through her numerous friendships. Angie is survived by her loving husband Eddie; her devoted daughters Socorro and Divina; son-in-law Anthony; and grand-daughter Sydney, all of Calgary. She is also survived by three sisters, one brother and forty-one nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends wishing to pay their respect may do so at McInnis & Holloway Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) for Viewing on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and for Prayers and Tributes on Friday, February 25, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
