Obituary of Joan Begbie

Joan Begbie, widow of the late Ivan Begbie, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Joan was born on December 24, 1921 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England and was educated there as well. She served in the RAF from 1941 to 1946. Joan met and married Ivan in Cairo, Egypt on June 9, 1945, and together they immigrated to Canada in 1953 where she worked as an Accountant. She is survived by a niece Eleanor of England; niece Margaret and nephew Roydan of Australia; and numerous cousins and friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Ernest Wilson; a brother Geoff; a sister Madge; and by her husband of fifty-seven years Ivan in November 2002.
