Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Hewitt

Cheryl Lynn Hewitt (nee Kempster), beloved wife of Paul Hewitt of Calgary, passed away at her residence on Thursday, February 10, 2005, after a courageous fifteen-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Cheryl was born on August 11, 1951 in Ottawa, ON and moved to Calgary in 1975. In 1977 Cheryl and Paul were married and enjoyed twenty-eight years of mutual love and contentment. Cheryl was an enthusiastic worker and when her growing disability ended her career, she went on to volunteer her time and energy at the Kirby Centre, Glenbow Museum and Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Besides her loving husband Paul, Cheryl is survived by her mother-in-law Jean Hewitt of Calgary; brother Mark Kempster of Ottawa, ON; aunt Agnes Stewart; cousins, Sharon Stewart and Fred Stewart, all of Calgary; as well as several other relatives and friends in Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Marjorie Kempster; brother Stuart Kempster; and father-in-law, Gordon Hewitt. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
