Obituary of Grace Lyla Norris

Grace Lyla Norris, beloved wife of sixty-three years of Donald Norris of Calgary, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 7, 2005 at the age of 88 years. Grace was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. During her life she worked at Ashdown’s after graduating from Garbett’s Business College. Grace also belonged to the Gideons and was involved with Youth for Christ. She taught Sunday school at Faith, Grace and Hope Chapels and she and her husband were members of Bethel Baptist Church in Calgary. Besides her adoring husband Donald, Grace will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Jake Van Runt, and her sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Betty Norris and Calvin and Frances Norris. Grace is also survived by her nine grandchildren Shawn, Melodie, Michael, Craig, Carla, Chantelle, Sheldon, Quinn, and Afton; and her three great-grandchildren Abrahanna, Mikaela and Lanna as well as by her brother and sister-in-law Bligh and Audrey Stockwell; and her sister and brother-in-law Linda and Rod Moss. A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church (3325 – 49th Street S.W.) on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. with the Rev. Maury McNeil and the Rev. John Teibe officiating.
