Obituary of Stella Joyce Mather

Stella Joyce Mather (nee Folstrom), beloved wife of Bob McKenzie of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the age of 77 years. Stella was born on April 4, 1927 in Lestock, SK. She was known as a person who helped others throughout her life and took the weight of the world on her own shoulders. Besides her loving husband Bob, Stella is survived by three sisters, Val Bradford, June Crumbley and Shirley Laren; four brothers, George Folstrom, Floyd Folstrom, Melvin Folstrom, and Charles Folstrom; four step-children, Susan, Tammy, Karen, and Bobbie Jean; three grandchildren, Tammy, Tyvonne and Tianna Ironside; five great-grandchildren; lots of nieces and nephews – too many to mention; and very special friends for many years, Shirley Bortnak and her husband John Bortnak. She was predeceased by her daughter Beverly Ironside; two sisters, Grace Heisler and Lora Luider; and three brothers, Vern Folstrom, Donald Folstrom and Stan Folstrom. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev.
