Obituary of Linda Jane Putnam
Linda Putnam beloved wife of Todd Gardiner passed away suddenly in a tragic accident in St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria on Saturday, January 22, 2005 while on a skiing vacation with her husband and friends.
Born in Calgary, Linda attended Henry Wise Wood High School before graduating from the University of Alberta (B.A.) and Dalhousie University (L.LB). She practiced law in Calgary for several years before electing to become a full-time mother of her two sons. Linda was loved and admired by all who knew her for her warm personality, sense of humour and compassionate nature.
She is survived by her husband; her children, Jack and Mitchell Gardiner; her parents Murray and Eleanor Putnam; her brothers and sister-in-law, David and Deb Putnam, and Mitch Putnam; Todd’s parents Bill and Judy Gardiner; his sisters and brother-in-law, Cheryl and David Redhead and Thelma Hackman; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at Living Spirit United Church (900 – 47 Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Wings of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 812 Stn. M, Calgary, AB, T2P 2J6.
