Obituary of Katherine Vera Nikiforuk

Katherine (Kay) Nikiforuk passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the age of 92 years. Kay was a long time resident of North Battleford, SK, having arrived in 1935 as the bride of Dr. W.J. (Bill) Nikiforuk. She was active in the community over the years and especially enjoyed recreational activities including curling, golf and hunting with her husband. Kay took special interest and pride in the activities and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She moved to Calgary in 2000 to be closer to her children. Kay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Myrna and Doug Cox; son and daughter-in-law Ron and Beryl Nikiforuk; granddaughters, Heather (Don) Magdall, Rhonda Millar, Leah Nikiforuk, and Margo Nikiforuk; and great-grandsons, Christopher and Timothy Magdall. Kay was predeceased by her husband in 1980. A Memorial Service will be held in Calgary in late March followed by interment in the family plot in North Battleford.
