Obituary of Shirley Anne Hawkins

Shirley Anne Hawkins (nee Parken) of Calgary passed away in the presence of her family on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the age of 77 years. Shirley was born on October 21, 1927 in Trochu, AB and was raised in the Carbon area. She married Cleeman (Glenn) on November 11, 1946 and they resided in Calgary. Shirley worked at the University of Calgary in Food Services from 1971 until her retirement in 1989. She had a great love for her family and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Blaine Hawkins (Lois); Sharon Smith (Doug); Marlene Hawkins (Barry McCallum); Bev Hawkins (Charlie Toth); and Darryl Hawkins (Mary Jane), all of Calgary; Deb (Rob Turner) of Whitecourt, AB; twenty-four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister Dorothe Charlebois of Drumheller; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Cleeman in August 1992; her daughter Diane Hawkins in 2001; and her sister Darlene Fuller in 1962.
