Obituary of Marguerite Dorothy Meaney

Marguerite Dorothy Meaney (nee Whitten), beloved wife of Ron Meaney of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at the age of 74 years, after a long courageous struggle with M.S. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty one years, Ron; and her son Danny of Wakefield, PQ; her daughter and son-in-law Mary Jane and Bob Hammer of Calgary, AB; her son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Angela Meaney of Mahone Bay, NS; grandchildren Sarah, Shawn, Stacie, Whitney, Christopher, and Gillian; her loving sister Mary Maher of Oshawa, ON; and many loving nieces and nephews throughout Canada. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Harry and Jennie Whitten of St. John’s, NFLD, and her brothers Harry and George. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering through various organizations and seniors groups and was also active in her Church groups. She was the most loving and loved wife, mother and Nanny. She will also be lovingly remembered by her lifelong friends in The Spooks Card Club in St. John’s, NFLD.
