Obituary of Edith May Arnold

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Edith May Arnold, beloved wife of Howard Arnold of Calgary, on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Edith was born on April 1, 1918 in Gloucester, England. She served in the Royal Air Force where she met Howard. Edith moved to Canada as a war bride in 1946 and resided in Medicine Hat until 2001, when she and Howard moved to Calgary. Besides her loving husband Howard, Edith is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lolita and Tommy Sobkowich and Nena and Ray Fuller; her sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Beverley (Checkley) Arnold, and Neil Arnold; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Edith leaves behind two sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law. A Gathering for family and friends will take place at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) today, January 18, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in Medicine Hat, AB on April 1, 2005.
