Obituary of Angela Nannarone

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our Angel, after a very courageous battle with Cancer on January 16th, 2005. Angela passed peacefully into God’s awaiting arms surrounded by her devoted family. She leaves behind to mourn, her husband Gaetano (Guy) of 49 years, her son Cristino, daughter and son-in-law Mirella and Greg Arich, grandson Richard and grand daughter Diana. Angela is survived by her sisters Lucia, Lina (Giovanni), Teresa (Giovanni) all of Australia, Clorinda (Emidio) of Italy, sisters-in-law Nina Del Pinto and Maria (Domenic) Zappavigna of Calgary; she was special Nonna to Shawna Setla; as well as numerous relatives and friends in Australia, Italy, Philadelphia and Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents Francesco and Filomena, sister Bambina, brothers Nicola and Salvatore. Angela was a fun loving, strong willed and very independent woman, you never told Ma she couldn’t do this or that, she would show you anything was possible. She was an accomplished seamstress, a great story teller about the old days in Italy and a talented and innovative cook. She was very passionate about food, she could whip up a meal in no time, making sure that everyone always had more than enough to eat. She took much pride in her home and garden and spending time with family and friends. She loved to laugh, she loved music and above all she loved life. “Your love was the purist we’ve known Your touch was the softest we’ve felt, Your arms were the safest place in the world Your courage and strength was inspiring, You fought as hard as you could We are all very proud of you, Though our loss and pain is unbearable, Every moment we shared was a blessing, and we are grateful to have had you, your memory will forever be eternal, We love you Ma – always” Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, January 20, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, January 21, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
