Obituary of Alida Apolonia Teunissen
Alida Apolonia (Alice) Teunissen, beloved wife of Mr. Jack Teunissen of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the age of 65 years.
Alice was born in Delft, Netherlands and moved to Edmonton in 1958. She married her husband Jack two years later in 1960 and moved to Calgary. Alice spent two years at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary. She had a great passion for painting and shared her passion later in life with her grandchildren. Alice loved the great outdoors, especially Kananaskis country. She was also a member of the Calgary Women’s League at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and took part in the RCIA Program as a Sponsor.
Besides her loving husband Jack, Alice is also survived by her children and their spouses, Patricia and John of Langdon, AB; and Art and Catherine, Yvonne, and Don and Julie, all of Calgary. She is further survived by her five grandchildren, her mother Elizabeth of Edmonton, and her four sisters and their husbands, all of Edmonton. Alice was predeceased by her father Antoon.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive S.E.) on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive S.E.) on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
