It is with great sadness that the family of Monica Collier-Stacey of Piccadilly, Newfoundland announces her passing at the Bethany Harvest Hills Home in Calgary, Alberta on the 13th of January, 2005. She was 68. Born in Three Rock Cove, Newfoundland, Monica dedicated her life to her family, raising 3 boys and 5 girls with love, determination and unwavering faith. She will be sadly missed by each of them; JoAnn Collier of Calgary, Elizabeth (Robert) Barry of Kingston, Helen (Abraham) Gallant of Fort McMurray, Joseph (Bertha) Collier of Port aux Port, James (Maryann) Collier of South Branch, Susan (Marion) Collier of Calgary, David (Kathy) Collier of Fort McMurray, and Rosemary (Roy) King of Calgary. Monica was a loving grandmother to fourteen and great grandmother to three children. Monica is survived by three brothers and four sisters (and their families); Ignatius, Raymond, Germain, Rita, Anita, Cecilia, and Sylvia. Widowed twice, Monica was predeceased by her husbands, Frederick Collier and Herbert Stacey. A Ceremony to celebrate Monica’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, January 21, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment and a final ceremony are planned for July 2005 at the Roman Catholic cemetery in Piccadilly, Newfoundland.
