Obituary of Carroll Darlene Thomson
With great sadness we announce the passing of Carroll Darlene Thomson (nee Adams) in Calgary on Friday, January 14, 2005.
Carroll will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Rolf (Cecil Rolf Vernon); four children, Gordon (Rosa) Thomson of Calgary, Deborah Wohlfarth of Calgary, John (Julie) Thomson of Calgary, and Linda (Tim) Thomson (Waits) of Grand Cayman Islands; grandchildren, Christopher, Jocelyn and Margaret Wohlfarth and Julien Thomson, all of Calgary; brother Jack Adams of Campbell River, BC and sister-in-law Beba Adams of Campbell River, BC; as well as several nieces and many cousins. Carroll is predeceased by her parents, Lena and Carl Adams; and brother Eldon. Carroll will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Carroll was born in Bonnyville, AB on February 25, 1938. She met the love of her life Rolf in Nanaimo, BC and married on November 11, 1955. Rolf and Carroll moved to Calgary in 1959 where they raised their family. Carroll was an extraordinary homemaker until her unexpected passing and enjoyed cooking in her homes in both Calgary and Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, January 18 2005 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that donations be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family of Carroll Thomson would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Rockyview Hospital for their kindness and care.
