Obituary of Evelyn Jean Frizzell

Evelyn Jean (Lyn) Frizzell, R.N. passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 after a battle with Myeloma at the age of 74 years. Lyn trained at Charing Cross Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital in London, England. She came to Canada in 1956 and had a long and varied career in nursing. Lyn retired from N.I.C.U at Foothills Hospital where she made many enduring friendships. When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no tears or gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little – but not too long, And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we all shared, Miss me – but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take, And each must go alone. It’s all part of the Master’s plan, A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, See family and friends we know. Take time to heal, Tho’ we must part, Miss me – but let me go. Lyn is survived by her husband Don; children, Neil and Shona, Margo and Tim, and Doug and Carie; and her four treasures, Connor and Katie Frizzell, Riley Galvon, and Seth Frizzell. She is also survived by her beloved sister Molly and family; and a large extended family in England.
