Obituary of Yolanda Marie Demers
After a lengthy battle with Shy Drager Syndrome, God took Yolanda’s hand and lead her home on Wednesday, January 12, 2005.
Yolanda was a kind, compassionate and gentle soul. Her family was the essence of her life. Yolanda would like to thank her husband and soulmate Don of fifty-one years for being her eyes, arms, legs, and voice. What she will miss most in this life is his loving care.
Besides her loving husband Don, Yolanda is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Yvonne and Ed Moberg of Rocky Mountain House, Bernie and Terry Demers of Edmonton, Carmen Deck, Colette Oehm, Doris and Larry Gems, Jeanette Jakeman, and Ron Demers, all of Calgary; her fourteen grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law Jackie and Tom Scott of Edmonton. Yolanda was predeceased by her parents and six siblings.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Vincent Thao Dinh OP, Presider.
