Obituary of Kit Mui Chong
Mrs. Kit Mui Chong (more affectionately known as Kit) passed away suddenly and peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on January 9 at the age of 81 years.
Kit was born in Canton, China, on May 17, 1923. She married Henry on Christmas Eve of 1941 in Hong Kong where she lived and raised her children. Kit enjoyed hiking and Tai Chi. Kit was a very kind and generous person. She was sharp, full of compassion, and had many friends. In 1984, she and Henry immigrated to Calgary. Then in 1997, Kit and Henry moved to the Bethany Care Centre.
Kit will be forever missed by her sons, David (Doris) of Toronto, James (Cecilia) of Winnipeg, Bob (Holly) of Calgary, and Terry of Hong Kong; grandchildren, Lorraine of Toronto, Patrick of Winnipeg, Ivy of Madison Heights, MI, and Peter (Noreena) of Lakeview, MN, and Lindsay, Jeff and Jason of Calgary, as well as Man-Wai of Hong Kong. Kit was predeceased by her husband Henry; her brother; and her father and mother.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, January 14, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 11:30 a.m with the Rev. Albert Law, officiating.
