Obituary of Wilbert Herchak

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilbert Herchak of Calgary, who died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the age of 71 years. Wilbert will be sadly missed by his loving wife Verna; children, Joan (Ralph) Weber, Melonie (Jeff) Allen, Cheryl (Mike) Knott, and David Herchak; grandchildren, Chelsea, Stephanie and Brock; eight brothers; two sisters; godson Pat Herchak; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Agnes; and brother Leonard. Mom and Dad were married for forty years. Dad was a Steamfitter by trade and enjoyed the many opportunities of traveling with his job to Libya, New Zealand and many other locations. He was a member of the Pipefitters and Steamfitters Local 496, and was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
