Obituary of Mike Harbidge

Mike Harbidge passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the age of 99 years. Mike was born on October 14, 1905 in Calgary, AB. He resided on a farm in the Bottrel area for most of his life with his devoted wife, “Tillie” and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Mike leaves to cherish his memory his six sons, Dave (Kathy) of Cochrane, Steve (Bev) of Calgary, Jim of Lethbridge, Michael (Maureen) of Sundre, Ernie (Myfanwy) of Quesnel, BC and Charlie (Lee) of Innisfail; twenty-six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Miriam of Calgary and Mary of Cochrane, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his beloved wife, Tillie, daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Don Ward, a grandson Jimmy, five sisters and three brothers.
