Obituary of Mary Rice

Mary Rice of Calgary, passed away at the AgapÚ Hospice on Friday, January 7, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Mary was born on August 19, 1918 in Calgary. She is remembered by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail and Don Poffenroth of Calgary, and Denise and Wayne Gertridge of Airdrie; four grandchildren, Lana McCaffrey, Donna Wasylyszyn, Brent Gertridge and Wendy Gertridge; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Doris Pedersen of Nanaimo, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 1971, and her daughter Melva in 1957 and brothers Fred and Ed and a sister Jean. To respect Mary’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.
