Obituary of Doris Amy Watts

The family of Doris Amy Watts of Calgary are sad to announce the death of their mother, grandma and great-grandma on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Doris was born in Surrey, England on October 10, 1925, where family still reside. In 1946, Doris immigrated to Canada with her two oldest children. She lived in Saskatoon, SK for many years, Comox, BC, and finally Calgary. Doris’ zest for life and the joy she took in completing many projects, such as building their house at Kootenay Lake, BC will be fondly remembered by all. She enjoyed golfing, curling and bowling with her many friends; especially the yearly golf trip in June, when her team always carried much more than golf balls and tees in their bags. She leaves three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Wallace (Wayne), Mary Labrecque (Owen), and Jan Frayling (Gord), and their families. Doris was predeceased by her partner of 26 years, Gordon Hedberg.
