Obituary of William George Newton Leckie

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of William George “Newton” Leckie beloved father of Lorie, James, and David, on Monday, December 27, 2004 at the age of 66 years. Newton was born on July 10, 1938 to Dr. George and Edith Leckie. He grew up in Lucky Lake, SK and was a true man of the prairies. Newton enjoyed many sports including curling, hunting, golf and hockey. He will always be remembered for his cross country trips to Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario to visit with family and friends. Newton will be dearly missed by his sons James and David; his daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Dan Dietrich; and two grandchildren Tyler and Kendra. Newton will also be remembered by his brothers and their families, Dr. Barrie and Donalda Leckie, and Bruce and Joy Leckie. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 2:30 p.m.. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
