Obituary of Gunnar Haavind

Our loving father Gunnar Haavind of Calgary left his earthly existence at the Rockyview General Hospital on Saturday, January 1, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Gunnar was born on May 1, 1925 in Oslo, Norway. He married Therese Gulhav in October, 1947, and together they had two children. His greatest joy was his children and he was loved by many, he will be missed. We love you dad. Gunnar is survived by his daughter Elisabeth Harman of Salt Lake City, UT; his son and daughter-in-law Fredrik Haavind and Edie King Haavind of Calgary; a sister Berit Schjoll of Oslo, Norway; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Therese in October, 1983; and a sister in 2004.
