Obituary of Floyd B. Myer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Floyd B. Myer, of Calgary at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, December 23, 2004. Floyd was born in Wainwright, AB and led a very interesting and adventurous life. He joined the RCAF in 1942 and trained as a pilot, going on to become a flying officer. After the war he worked as a Flight Instructor and as an Airline Pilot. He flew charter flights out of Yellowknife, NWT and the far north. In his later years (prior to retirement), he worked as a building operator. Floyd loved to travel in his camper, visit old friends and go fishing. He leaves to mourn his beloved Lila of forty years, his mate through sickness and health, good times and bad. He is also survived by his three sons, Russ, Conrad and Clint; several cousins and nephews, including his cousin Sharon and nephew Bryan of Turner Valley, AB. Floyd was predeceased by his parents and his three brothers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive SW) on Monday, January 3, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
