Obituary of Theresa Vera Bezovie

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the daughters of Theresa (Terry) Vera Bezovie (nee Rafters) announce the passing of their mother on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the Rosedale Hospice after a brief yet courageous battle with brain cancer at the age of 74 years. Terry was born in Halifax, NS and moved to Calgary at the age of eighteen. She worked at many drycleaners during her career. She met Tom and two years later they were married on September 16, 1950. Together, they built Ace Carpet Cleaners for over thirty years, while raising two girls, they instilled their values and love. Her devotion saw Tom through his illness and passing in October 2001. Terry had a zest for life, she encouraged others to stay happy with her sense of humour and positive attitude. She loved to go to aquacize swimming at Renfrew Pool, volunteering at the Fanning Centre and enjoyed going to any casino. Terry is survived by her two daughters, Pat (Brett) Redpath and Peggy (Brian) Lyons; and four grandchildren, Jamie, Darcy, Samantha and Matthew. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, December 31, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Carol Barwick officiating.
