Obituary of Margaret Philomena O’Sullivan
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret (Peg) Philomena O’Sullivan of Calgary announce her passing at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, December 20, 2004 following a devastating accident on December 18, 2004.
Peg was born on October 24, 1919 in Gorey Wexford, Ireland. She was a gift from God. She was a truly dynamic and caring individual, whose faith was a beacon to us all. She was our strength, and on her journey of life her many hardships only made her stronger. Her life was about joy and service to others. Peg touched the lives of many and she will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Beverlee O’Sullivan of Kino Bay, Mexico; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Greg Nixon of Calgary; grandchildren, Lynda of Red Deer, John (Sandy) of Millet, Noel O’Sullivan of Red Deer, Troy Nixon (Tara Chalmers-Nixon) of Edmonton, Rebecca Nixon (Matthew Kett) of Toronto; eight great-grandchildren, Brent, Dan, Shillelagh, Jerome, Brendan John, Keegan O’Sullivan, and Benjamin and Andrew Nixon. Peg was predeceased by her husband of forty-eight years, Daniel, in 1985; two infant daughters, Margaret and Kathleen; and beloved grandson Kevin.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful ICU staff at the Foothills Medical Centre.
