Obituary of Emma Maria Dyler

Emma Maria Dyler (nee Blue Bird Woman) of Siksika Nation passed away at the Strathmore Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Emma was born on November 29, 1923 and raised in Siksika Nation, AB. Emma will be sadly missed by her children Errol (Gail), Mike and Lorraine Stevens, Robert, Graham (Barbara), Jim and Shirley, Ron, Pat (Dee Dee), Donnie and Jerry Vanloon, Doreen Kidd, and Jane Bella; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Yogi, Barbara, Francine Axe, Jolie, Julie and Nyo Snow, Michael (Nora), Michelle (Ken), and Quinton Stevens; Eugene (Shannon), and Franklin Little Chief, James (Spring), Shawn (Cherry), Dan (Lynn), Boo-boo (Patrick), Deanna, Tyrell and James Dyler, Justine and Rosa Dumais, Melissa Many Shots, Dennis Bella, Storm Asham, Shirleen, Bonty, Wanda and Stacey. Emma was predeceased by her parents Mike Running Wolf and Judith Eagle Ribs; her husband Jim E. Dyler; a son Danny Dyler; and two grandchildren, Jamie Snow and Faye-Ann Crow Chief; brothers, Pat and Gilbert Bearhat; sister Mary-ann Many Fires; and her nephew Alex Scalplock (Sr.). She deeply appreciated her extended family in her time of need, Doug (Mary-anne), Errol, Mike, Patrick, Eric and Rick Bearhat’s family, the family of Leo Pretty Young Man, Alfred (Linda) SaddleBack, Nancy Melting Tallow and family, Joey and Elliot LowHorn families, Philip, Roy (Linda), Charrisa and Christine Little Chief families, Mark Wolfleg (Sr.) family and Rosalma Manyshots family and George (Isabel) Olivier family, the Running Rabbit and Duck Chief families. The family wishes to apologize for any names which may have been missed. Emma was always willing to support her family and friends in their times of need. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother, and auntie to all! Her unconditional LOVE will be forever missed. Our memories are now the treasures and blessings we have left to cherish. Wake Services will be held at Sister Celine Memorial Parish Hall (Siksika Nation, AB) on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
