Obituary of Maurice John Merckx

Maurice Merckx, beloved husband of Sandra Merckx of Okotoks, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the age of 62 years. Maurice was born on December 6, 1942 in Deloraine, MB. He worked many years for Apache Superior Printing. Maurice coached hockey in Acadia. He enjoyed watching baseball and hockey in his spare time especially the L. A. Dodgers and the Montreal Canadians. Besides his loving wife Sandra, Maurice is survived by his daughter Debbie; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Shyla; his mother Erma and stepfather Ed; a sister Doreen; brother-in-law Frank; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Rodney in 1979 and his father Gaston in 1978. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.
