Obituary of Bruce Allan McGregor

Bruce Allan McGregor of Calgary passed away suddenly of a heart attack while visiting in Ottawa, ON on Friday, December 17, 2004 at the age of 64 years. Bruce was born in Sherridon, MB, and lived in Fort Saskatchewan for several years. He attended the University of Alberta and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent his career working in the Oil and Gas industry as a Project Engineer, mostly with the engineering firms MHG and DPH. Following his retirement in 2002, he found great joy in traveling, golfing and devoting his time to helping others. Besides his soul mate of thirty-two years, Lyla (Merv) Wall, Bruce is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Dr. Bob Haslam of Okotoks; his sister, Mary Jones and his brother-in-law Bob Jones of Ottawa, ON; fondly remembered by his nephews Robert, David and Chris(Darlene) Haslam; James and Timothy Jones and his great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be greatly missed by the Wall family of Ontario and his many friends across Canada. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Dr. Archie McGregor and Helen Dorothy Nelson McGregor. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive SW) on Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Union Cemetery.
