Obituary of Robert James Eve

Robert (Bob) Eve, beloved husband of Kathleen Eve of Calgary, passed away at home on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Bob was proud to be a native Calgarian. He was born in what is now Erlton Station, and attended the Cottage Erlton School and Ramsay School. Bob worked as a Salesman and later a Manager of Western Vinegars for thirty-two years. He served in the R.C.A.F. as a Leading Aircraftsman from 1941 to 1945. He loved to golf, curl, camp, and even caught a fish or two. Mostly, he enjoyed exploring the Western Slopes with Katie, his best friend and wife of sixty-three years. Bob leaves to mourn a wonderful wife; a brother; a son; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews. Service to his friends and community were important to him and he will be missed by the Southwest Seniors, Heart to Heart, #285 Legion, Calgary Food and Associates, and the Native Calgarian Society, all of which he was connected to. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev.
