Obituary of Murray Morrison Moon

Murray passed away suddenly while working in Fort St. John at the age of 54. Murray is survived by the love of his life, Adeline Marie Tekatch. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Helen Moon of MB and is survived by his special second Mom, Vera Campbell of Oakville , MB. He leaves behind siblings, Noreen (Bill) Grindell of Stevenfield, MB, Cal (Diane), Ted (Peggy), all of Portage La Prairie, MB, and Jim (Albina) of Calgary; his father and mother-in-law Alex and Mary Tekatch of Ituna, SK; sister-in-law Dolores (Tom) Matt of Kelliher, SK; brother-in-law George Tekatch of Ituna, SK; various nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many special friends. As a young man Murray moved West to Alberta to work as a Heavy Equipment Operator on various projects. He met Adeline in Edmonton and they embarked on a life-long loving relationship. Murray eventually moved on into Trucking, and purchased his own rig. They lived in the Edmonton area for many years but moved to Calgary in 1995. Murray was often out of town with his trucking work which ranged throughout the West including, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. Murray was a resilient, unflappable person liked by all he came in contact with. His interests included: Adeline, trucks, water and snow skiing, travel vacations, Las Vegas, stock market trading, and his morning coffee with the Financial Post. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, December 17, 2004 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. A Celebration of Murray’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive SW) on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
