Obituary of Antje Hanemaayer

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Mom, An Hanemaayer, on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the age of 84 years. An was born in de Lier, Holland, married Cornelis (Kees) Hanemaayer in 1942 and immigrated to Ontario in 1953 where she made her home for 48 years before moving to Alberta in 2001. An will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Anne (Arnold) Koopman of Burlington, ON, Margaret (Roger) Melley of Airdrie, AB and Lena (Eldon) Clelland of Kincardine, ON, grandchildren, Heather Koopman (Andrew Westgate), Tina (Steve) Keyser, Graham (Corrine) Melley, Stephanie (John) Piel, Gilbert (Bonnie) Clelland and Jeanne (Jeff) Couroux and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nicolyn, Keegan, Christina, Mackenzie, Madison, Max, Jennifer, Erin, Joseph, Isaiah, Kyle and Zoe, as well as her brother Anton (Alie) vanRy, nieces Annie Boonstra and Anne Harris, nephews Bert (Linda) Alleblas and Arie vanRy, and her friends in Alberta and Ontario. An was predeceased by her son Leendert (Len) in 1949 and her husband Kees in 1986. A Celebration of An’s Life will be held at the Rockyview Lodge, 1220 Hammond Avenue in Crossfield, AB on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. A similar service will be held in Ontario in late spring, and interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph, ON.
